The very same congressional Democrats who promoted the idea that Russian collusion was a real thing are now denouncing Attorney General William Barr’s statement that there needs to be an investigation into the potentially improper surveillance of the Trump campaign.
For almost two years, the Democrats promoted the idea that our President is an agent or asset of the Russian government.
Now that all that has gone up in smoke, they are desperately hoping to find something else to pin on the president, demanding the release of classified information, grand jury testimony, and other sensitive documents.
Quoting Mueller’s full report, Barr informed Congress that (and this is the exact quote) “[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
Without missing a beat, the Democrats and the left-wing media, presumably to save face, have placed William Barr in their crosshairs.
This week, Democrats accused Barr of promoting a conspiracy theory when he stated U.S. agencies may have illegally spied on President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.
At the Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing, Barr stated that he felt there was a need to probe how U.S. intelligence agencies conducted themselves during the Russia investigation because “spying on a political campaign is a big deal.”
If you watched the hearing, you could literally see Democratic lawmakers losing their minds over the idea there was potential wrongdoing during the course of the federal probe into whether the Trump campaign worked with Russia to sway the 2016 Presidential Election.
Shortly afterwards,
- Nancy Pelosi stated Barr was “going of the rails”.
- Chuck Schumer demanded Barr “retract his statement immediately”.
- Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, proclaimed Obama-era spying on Trump was a debunked conspiracy theory.
And the outrage just went on and on.
They are unwilling to take a deep look at the Steele dossier, the FISA warrant, and the FBI surveillance which prompted the Mueller investigation
It is amazing how Democrats are all about transparency, except when it happens to be a formal inquiry into why a Presidential campaign was so spied on with zero evidence of wrongdoing.
I believe the Democrats are completely driven by anger and hatred. They were counting on Russia collusion to remove Trump as president, and are unable to accept the reality that America chose Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton.
